Yolac Vegicaps
The Yolac capsule itself – the outer coating – just like the content, is 100% vegetarian and free from preservatives. This differs from many other capsules, produced from animal gelatine.
Yolac for children
The Yolac capsules are suitable for children from two years. Dosage 1 to 2 capsules. Young children in consultation with your physician.
Yolac capsules or Yolac powder
Powder or capsule is a question of personal preference. The advantage of the powder is that it is stronger than the capsule and contains substances that encourage the multiplication of the bacteria in the intestine. The advantage of the capsules is that they easier and more practical to take.
Combination of Yolac capsules and Yolac powder
The Yolac powder is extra strong and contains nutrients for the bacteria, enabling them to multiply better and more rapidly in the intestine. These substances are not contained in the capsules because of the lack of space (the volume would be too limited to have any actual effect). If doubting between capsules and powder, it is recommended you start with the powder (particularly if the intestine requires additional support) and to subsequently maintain intestinal flora levels using the capsules. The same applies for travelling.
Shelf life
As far as possible, store the Yolac capsules in constant conditions. Preferably in a cool (5°C), and above all dry place (refrigerator). They can also be stored at room temperature. Unopened, the products have a shelf life of two years.

Travelling
Every globetrotter knows that in foreign and far-off countries, the stomach can easily become unsettled. This is because the residents of the intestine are confronted with entirely foreign, not always friendly local counterparts. They are not yet resistant to these 'foreigners'. As a consequence, they are in urgent need of support.
It is recommended that you start taking Yolac at least one week before you start your journey, preferably in the form of Yolac powder. This means that during the actual period of travel, you can take the capsules with you, because they are easier in use.

Intestine
Our intestine is home to no less than eleven trillion bacteria (more than the number of cells that make up our body, and of 400 different varieties!). In terms of weight, this adds up to around 1.5 kg. These residents must live in harmony with one another and with the host, the human being. As is the case in every community, there are also less friendly members of the intestinal flora community. However, if the eco system is in balance, these are held in check by the friendly varieties. Thanks to scientific research, above all the Lacto bacillus and Bifido bacteria are well-known. These bacteria produce substances such as organic acids (including lactic acid), hydrogen peroxide (H202) and 'acidophylline', a natural antibiotic. Using these substances, they keep the less pleasant varieties under control.
By supporting the friendly dextro-rotating lactic acid-producing intestinal bacteria in this way, the intestine is regulated. This means that irrespective of its condition prior to taking Yolac, defecation is normalised. This relates not only to the nature of the defecation, but also the frequency of bowel movements. Healthy defecation means at least once a day, preferably twice a day, of which once in the morning. This is the ideal situation.

Immune system
The intestine is in direct contact with the immune system. Cells in the intestinal wall are in fact a direct component of that immune system. Bacteria such as those in Yolac work in close cooperation with the intestinal wall cells. As a consequence, they can be viewed literally as 'bodyguards'. Together with the intestinal wall cells, they ensure that foreign and unwanted interlopers are unable to penetrate into our body. They activate immune cells such as macrophages and lymphocytes.
Skin
It may be difficult to imagine, but as the condition of the intestine improves, so skin condition is automatically also improved. This is because the intestine is such an important secretion organ. If the intestine is not functioning correctly, waste substances search for other routes to leave the body. For example, via the skin.
Did you know that the skin is considered one of the body’s secretion organs?
In many cases, it is possible to assess the condition of the intestine, by the colour of the skin.

The intestine as an eco system
A healthy intestine can be compared with an area of unspoilt nature, in which the most beautiful flowers live together in perfect harmony, and where they are able to flourish, grow and flower. An area like this is home to poppies, camomile, dandelions and buttercups, surrounded by other plant varieties. Such an area of natural beauty deserves to be preserved, particularly when threatened.
Threats
From time to time, the condition of your intestine is put to the test, through wrong eating habits (preservatives, the wrong fats, sweet foods), the use of antibiotics (often as a child) or even the taking of pills, and stress. As a consequence, the balance is disrupted. The friendly intestinal bacteria then succumb to less benign micro-organisms, such as unfriendly intestinal bacteria and fungi. These gain the upper hand, and overrun 'your nature conservation area'. You immediately recognise this in your bowel movements. Defecation should neither be too hard, nor too soft.
Optimum intestinal fitness, optimum defecation
Your intestines are in optimum condition if your defecation is consistent and solid, and evenly brown in colour. A 'stool' should be approx. 10 cm long, with a round top and a pointed tip. It should not smell unpleasantly (primarily due to poorly digested meat). When flushing the toilet, no trace should be left. Also very important: bowel movements at least once a day, preferably twice a day, once in the morning.
Yolac supports 'your nature conservation area'
The Yolac products support the flora in your intestine. Millions of benign Yolac bacteria help to restore harmony and balance. They support the regular residents of the intestines, which, in terms of numbers and quality, may have been under pressure. Thanks to this new, powerful army, sufficient lactic acid is once again produced. This is important because in a 'moderately acidic' environment, the good bacteria flourish and are able to multiply without restraint. The opponents, on the other hand, are poorly equipped to cope with an acid environment.
